Replacement nibs for our fountain pens. JoWo is a German nib manufacturer, that produces nibs for use by pen manufacturers. The history of JoWo nibs dates back to 1852. The company began as the first German manufacturer of steel nibs and today is behind some of the best fountain pen brands in the world.

Compatibility 

You can purchase the JoWo nib unit to replace your current nib on your Galen pen. Also, number #6 nibs are compatible with other brands. Many pen makers use their nibs, including Montegrappa, Esterbrook, Conklin, TWSBI, Leonardo Officina, Gioia, Edison, Franklin Christoph, Opus 88, and Kaweco.

Steel nib unit with feeder and threaded housing. 

Size 6, which means that the feeder is 6 millimeters in diameter. Thread housing M7.5x0.5. New nibs are plain, without the Scroll pattern.

Dentist (Soft Architect)

Reminiscent of the Architect nib, the Dentist nib stands out for its softer feel, providing a smoother writing experience with minimal feedback and reduced scratchiness. It's excellent for everyday writing tasks. Thin on the down stroke and wide on the side stroke.

Bilateral (Fude Italic)

This unique nib, known as a Fude Italic, is expertly shaped from a 1.1 nib. It offers versatility with its double-sided design, featuring a Fude style on one end and an Italic style on the other.

Fude Nib

Fude means 'bent' in Japanese. These are specialized nibs bent at the tip to give it a curved or rounded surface area.

Fine Italic

A smoother version of the formal italic. Suitable for everyday use and notetaking. Fine Italic has fewer line variations and is great for small handwriting.

Medium Italic

A smoother version of the formal italic. Suitable for everyday use and notetaking. Still a very common nib with more line variations.

Broad Italic

A smoother version of the formal italic. Suitable for everyday use and notetaking. Almost the best line variations.

Double Broad Italic

A smoother version of the formal italic. Suitable for everyday use and big handwriting. The best line variation. Compare to 1.1 standard nib IBB has more line variation and more feedback.

Oblique Medium

Allows for one that rotates their pen slightly. Standard 15 degree oblique.

Oblique Broad

Allows for one that rotates their pen slightly. Standard 15-degree oblique.

Oblique Double Broad

Allows for one that rotates their pen slightly. Standard 15-degree oblique.
